toilet doors

Why do they have to open inwards??

Think about it:

You push the door open to get into the toilet, with your foot or your elbow to avoid touching the germ-ridden handle.

So far so good.

Now you free your defecatory organs from their clothed state and carefully drain your bladder in your preferred squat or indeed stance, taking care not to contaminate yourself with the results of poor aiming by prior patrons.

You have done well thus far and are proud of your cleanliness and toilet etiquette.

You wash your hands like mummy taught you, dry them and think about how most people don’t bother about washing their hands.

Only when you reach the door to leave do you realise the futility of all your efforts - you NEED to pull the door to open it!! If only one single person hasn’t washed their hands everyone else leaving the toilet gets their hands dirty again too…

ProcrastinateTomorrow’s solution: make toilet doors open out the way please Mr(s). Architect.
